We had so much fun on Toni + Colby’s engagement shoot. Here are some reasons we like them so much – #1 They’re adorable. #2 They’re Gators. #3 Colby’s opening line to Toni was, “You need a coozi.” We literally can’t wait for their 2012 nuptials at the Powel Crosley Estate. I think while planning a wedding, every bride has that moment where they’ve contemplated dropping everything and just taking off on a plane with their soon-to-be hubby to the nearest island paradise. Well Jessica & David did just that, and better yet, were kind enough to take along their favorite photographers with them! We had such a great time photographing them at the world renown Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas. It was such a fun adventure and a great chance for us to shoot this lovely couple in such a beautiful location. It’s not very often that we get to say, “Ok, now hold that pose just like that until this shark comes over your head.” Their ceremony had very sweet personal vows and was officiated by a local pastor, affectionately known by the locals as the Island Preacha. Their wedding had it all: beautiful aqua water backdrop, personal hand written vows and a cute officiate! P.S. How cute is the shot towards the bottom of all the snapper gathered watching them kiss? : )

We’re so excited to be sharing this post with you since we have been planning this inspiration shoot for what feels like forever. : ) We’ve always wanted to do a styled shoot, where we get to choose the details, the dress, the flowers. It was like planning our weddings all over again, on a little bit of a smaller scale. Big thank you to Alison, who is a past bride and now a friend, for helping us brainstorm ideas and for crafting some of the details. I think she has a future in wedding styling, what do you think? Also we couldn’t have done the shoot without the help of Pink Pelican Florist and Frosting of Vero Beach. Their expertise and creativity was a welcome contribution to our project.
