Frequently Asked Questions

What is your pricing?
The weddings we photograph can vary so much by location and coverage that we prefer to learn about your wedding day first before we discuss pricing. We do require a 50% deposit to reserve the date and the rest is due by the day of the wedding. Please send us an email so we can talk more!

Do you travel for destination weddings?

We are based out of Vero Beach, Florida, but we frequently photograph weddings from Orlando down to the Keys. We have also traveled to the Caribbean Islands, San Francisco, North Carolina, New York and Maine and we would feel honored to travel to your wedding. We typically arrive a couple of days prior to the wedding day to get familiar with the venue and ensure there are no travel delays.

How long does it take to receive my wedding images?
The password protected on-line gallery is posted within 6-8 weeks from the wedding date. This is a gallery that you can easily share with your friends and family and order professional prints from. The finished product of high resolution images is mailed out at the same time and will also include a print release giving you permission to make your own prints as well. If your package included an album, you have up to a year to select which images you would like in the album. Once the final decisions have been made, it typically takes 4-6 weeks to design and 4 weeks to receive the final product from our album company.

How many images will I receive? Are they all edited?
This number varies greatly depending on the amount of coverage time and formalities, but typically 75-100 images per hour of coverage. Every image is edited to some degree so that all of your images look consistent and polished. You do receive a print release so that you can recreate your own prints or albums if you prefer.

Can we provide you with a shot list?
We would absolutely love to know who you would like included in your formal family portraits. We will go over all of the logistics of that prior to your wedding day and some brides will send us an email with specific names or relationships of those people, and that is very helpful. In addition, if you have any special details or unique circumstances that we should know about, please let us know ahead of time about that as well. Then there is the Pinterest list, which we have a love/hate relationship with. We love Pinterest, but it can be a distraction when we are handed a long list of moments to recreate or copy other photographers' work. We would prefer not to be tied down to that type of list so that we can capture your day creatively and uniquely.

What does "Vitalic" mean anyway?
That's a really good question... I wish I had a good answer for it but we kind of made it up. We felt a word that is dervived from life would be fitting.

Will you submit my wedding for publication in a magazine or a website?
Of course! We have no control if it will get selected, but we love seeing so many of our clients' beautiful weddings in magazines and on popular wedding blogs. We love inspiring future brides and we think having your wedding in a magazine would be a great keepsake. Just let us know after your wedding and we can prepare your images for submission.

What type of equipment do you use?

Who will be photographing my wedding?
We are not a company that sends complete strangers to photograph your wedding. The photographer that you communicate with prior to your wedding or photographs your engagement, will be the same one that shows up on your wedding day. It will be one of the lead photographers, Chrissy or Nicki as well as one of our lovely associate photographers. If there was ever a rare and tragic occurrence where we BOTH become extremely ill, die or are blown away by a hurricane, then we have many connections in the photography community to find a suitable replacement with a similar style. If you prefer not to use our replacement then you will receive a full refund.

I have an uncle that has a sweet camera, can he photograph too?
We definitely encourage guest photography at the reception, however we do require that we are the only photographers during your formals so that we can guarantee all eyes are on our camera. Plus we find that couples aren't as relaxed when a family member is following us around everywhere. We have noticed that more couples are starting to ask the officiant of the ceremony to announce that there be no guest photography, to ensure that everyone focuses on the couple and the moments happening instead of being lost in a cell phone/camera/iPad (yes, iPad).

What do you wear?
This is an interesting question, but we get asked this a lot. Typically we try to blend in and dress like a wedding guest and our dress code varies depending on either of the two seasons Florida has to offer. Comfortable sandals in the hot months, comfortable Toms during the cool months. If you have any special requests please let us know and we can try to accommodate.

Do you offer video services?

We have in the past, but we prefer to focus solely on photography. We would be happy to provide some names of cinematographers that we have worked very well with in the past.
