Chrissy, Jason and I recently took a trip to Las Vegas to attend WPPI – the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International convention. While we were there we got to do a little sight seeing and of course took some photos along the way. One of my best friends is attending dental school at UNLV so we were lucky to have our own personal tour guide while we were there! Thanks Soph! It was also super fun to run into our photographer friends Scott McNamara and Julie Paisley. We’ll also be posting a few photos from a workshop we attended in the dessert so keep an eye out for that. : )
Things We Learned in Vegas
Street characters expect tips BEFORE posing for photos.
The Sex and the City slots game = awesome.
If you see any grass in Vegas, it’s definitely fake.
Have lip gloss with you at all times, holy dryness.
Boys cannot bring purses (aka camera bags) into nightclubs.
When martinis are $16 and 4 oz mixed drinks are $12, it makes more sense to gamble that money and take the free drinks with welcome arms.
Jason learned not to play the Sex and the City game alone, those cameras are watching you.

2012 Year in Review » vitalicphoto.com - […] In February we decided it was time to take our first trip to WPPI — a week long conference in Las Vegas where all of the best photographers flock to network and learn from each other. We met a great group of girls from all over the country who we still keep in touch with. It was a great experience and we hope to go back again one day (unfortunately/fortunately not in 2013 since we’ll be photographing a wedding in Jamaica that week). Here are a few outtakes from our travels… […]
