Thank you Green Wedding Shoes for featuring our styled shoot! How this shoot came to be… once upon a time at a local wedding, a lovely bridesmaid introduced herself to us. When she said her name, I sat there thinking, I know that name but from where… and then it came to me. Charlotte Tripson was the first person to “like” nearly every post of ours on Facebook! She admitted to her likeaholism and further explained that her parents own an eclectic wedding venue in Vero. A few months later this same bridesmaid (yes a bridesmaid in another of our weddings) asked us about doing a promotional shoot at their property, Waldo’s Garden. The photos would be used mostly for advertising and promotion, but I told her any excuse for a styled wedding shoot gets my gears goin’. Let the Pinterest pinning begin! We wanted something that complimented the garden but also had a touch of modern — namely the chevron and funky gold pieces. The balloon details seemed to fit perfectly with the whimsy of the location. I think when planning shoots like this, things just seem to evolve and come together to make the prettiest images. I’d be happy if this was my wedding! Huge thank you to the list of contributors at the bottom of this blog post, and especially to our lovely models, Bethany & Patrick! Enjoy the cuteness. : ) Thank you Green Wedding Shoes for featuring our styled shoot! Hello and Welcome to our 300th blog post! This adorable couple may look super comfortable and cozy in this engagement session, but I’m hear to say that it wasn’t all pretty pink sunsets and beach frolicking. We first had to forge our way through a cruel field of pretty much nothing but sandspurs, only to accidentally sit in a pile of ants and finally to end the session was the onslaught of at least 8 billion mosquitoes. Every time I looked down there was about 7 on each leg. Through it all they were incredibly darling and I really hope they had a stash of calamine lotion for when they returned home to Fort Lauderdale. So super excited to shoot their wedding which sounds like it’s going to be beautiful (our favorite colors) and sandspur & mosquito free!
