A big thank you to Wedding Chicks for featuring our styled shoot!

Chrissy and I took a super fun trip to Las Vegas (behind the scenes blog post coming soon) back in February to attend WPPI, the largest wedding photographers’ convention ever. We went to classes, saw some of our favorite photographers speak and met so so many amazing photographers from all over the world. We left Vegas feeling more inspired than ever and decided to arrange another styled shoot. We religiously follow so many of the wedding blogs and always take note of the styles and trends that we see and love. While everything has been vintage vintage vintage for quite some time now, it seems the trendsetters are starting to merge elements. We feel like trends are leaning toward the mix of vintage details with clean lines and bold patterns (is anyone NOT obsessed with chevron these days). We decided that an old diesel plant in Vero Beach would provide the perfect backdrop for our shoot… it’s urban and raw and looks amazing mixed with the soft pinks and glitzy golds that we’re already obsessed with. We also wanted to work in a feather detail and love the softness that contrasts so well with the brick. As always, Jill at Pink Pelican Florist was absolutely amazing in helping us with the shoot. She is always generous in donating her time and talents and does such beautiful floral work, we’re glad to know and love her and everyone at her shop!

We are proud to claim the models as one of our own gorgeous couples! They were interested in doing a bridal session and we needed models for our shoot, so we asked if they would participate and they were amazing! Sara’s dress is gorgeous and Rob just happened to have a black tux laying around. We brought the accessories and hair/make up by Lindsey Naffziger and Cindy Goetz completed the look. The ruffles on Sara’s dress inspired the design for the cake provided by Frosting, we loooove how it turned out. So here’s a huge thanks for everyone involved — thank you for helping turn the ideas in our heads into the beautiful shoot that it was!
